This beautiful new all-solid Loar mandolin is an accurate replica of the original 1920’s F5-style model. It has the white binding that borders the lines of the instrument with an added black and white inlay on the top, back, headstock, fingerboard, and pickguard. The pickguard is the same tortoise-shell plastic as the vintage original, and there is a reproduction tailpiece with an engraved cover. It comes with premium Grover tuners. There is a nice lightweight case with an embroidered Loar logo.
Customers have applauded the LM-600-VS in reviews and blogs. The sound of a firmly chopped G chord resonates out with power. However, this is not just any Loar LM-66-VS. We work with the company to find mandolins that have the sound we appreciate. We sent one back before we accepted this one, although the one returned didn't sound bad. This is the one you are looking for!
This beautiful Loar meets high standards and sound quality for an experienced professional and is priced more in line with what a serious student can barely afford. This Loar has a factory setup that is tight, but you still may want to make adjustments with a qualified person for your style of playing (action, string gauge, etc). Sometimes the factory setups need tweaking. However, it plays well as is so we left it as is. (continued below)...

Loar Mandolin Model LM-600-VS
$750 with case & 1 lesson
This mandolin easily matches or exceeds other beautiful good sounding makes that are more expensive. If you are on a budget, you will be amazed at what you get for your money. I am waiting to get some more of these right now and am hoping to keep this one for a personal instrument if it doesn't sell right away.
You cannot find this Loar model LM-600-VS for lower than $750 because that is set by the manufacturer. Some far away places that send a generic mandolin off the shelf of inventory will offer free shipping. You will order from a generic picture and not have any idea what you are getting. With me, you have pictures and descriptions of the exact instrument you are buying, and you can test before you buy at your convenience where you choose.
I try to meet with clients at an agreeable location for an initial review of the mandolin or violin and your needs, plus I often have other comparable instruments, although this is the only mando I have as I wait for others.
As a professional player, I can demonstrate the mandolin competently although I am mainly a violin player. If you are just learning, I will throw in one free lesson to work on some fundamentals and a practice plan. Also, I can hook you up with a good teacher if you need more. Generally, it is a fun experience to do this and my goal is that you get the right mandolin for your needs and price range, and not necessarily from me. I am honest and ethical in doing business and arrangements.
My profits go toward a non-profit art & music school I am developing on a shoestring. I do not have a showroom and my overhead is poverty stricken. You are getting the best deal with special care and handling all the way in. You are looking at the instrument you will get. Please email or call anytime. I am not always available but will get back asap.
You can see other violins and instruments on www.newearthmusic.com for a partial selection plus I have several in inventory that are not yet listed on the website.
